My Monthly Music #1

Hey Dolls;?
Another one of my thoughts for series! I thought I tell you about the songs I've been loving this month? I know some people may hate my music taste but I'm sure some of you will love it. I'm not that fussy about what I listen to I mostly stick to certain artists rather than random songs but I like a bit of everything!

First up is 'Everything' by Michael Buble. This isn't at all new but its always on Magic and heart. My mum loves Michael and to be honest so do I!

This song is so cute. I love the sound of Katie Walsh's voice in this. If your a fan of the movie like me, you may already know this is in 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging' Thought I'd put it out there: the school used in ATPS is very near to where I live; a lot of my friends go there!

I love Beyonce and Jay singing together! This is one of my favorites of them together as its quite early on and I always feel like dancing when I listen to this!

Finally this month I've been into McFly a little too much! I used to hate them: my youngest brother was obsessed with them and I had totally had enough of their voices! But in a maths lesson me and a few of the other girls in my class where talking about old songs and this and 'Five Colors in Her Hair'came up in conversation and I've found my love for my McFly again!

So what do you think of my monthly music; been liking any songs this month or is music not really your thing?

I L♥VE Winter

Hey Dolls;

Little bit of an inspirational post today; its now officially winter! Winter is one of my favorite seasons as is every other! I love winter more than autumn though; I love getting in the Christmas spirit; the crisp air and all of the rain frizzing up everybody's hair!

I think that November - February are by far the BEST months to go to the cinema; to be honest I never really go to the cinema at any other time of the year unless I am desperate to see the film. Everything seems so much more cosy during these months and I love the atmosphere of it all!

I love the rain. I don't know why. I especially like it after the sun has been out, the day the rain first comes everything smells so fresh! Haha, I sound so weird but I really think it's true!

In the Autumn I'm always a bit more ditsy than usual. I never know what to do with myself and always end up doing absolutely nothing; but in the Winter I never have enough time!

Source: Weheartit, I just LOVE this website!
Oh my gosh! I'm counting down the days until the ice - rink comes into town. Every November an Ice-Rink is placed in the middle of town; only five minutes away from where I live! Normally as a figure skater I have to get my mum to drive me 45 minutes away every week so I can skate; I hate it because I have to wake up super early just to do something I love! But on the 26th this month I'll only have to get the bus and bring my skates! I love it; I can get extra practice for my Saturday lessons and skating is so much more fun watching people try and race around the week! Its so hilarious!

I get so much more done in winter. Strangely I don't mind doing homework as much either; I think the cold air gets to my head at this time of year! Some of my favorite things to do are: go shopping, watch movies, go for walks, skate outdoors, go sledging (yes where I live in the UK we normally always get a enough snow to go sledging!), drink hot chocolates, sing sad songs and so much more! In the summer I'm always far too lazy to do anything!

Whats your favorite things to do in the winter, do you hate the cold and go hibernating or live in the rain like me?

Christmas Series: #2 Teenage Girls Gift Ideas £50 & Under

Lush Festive Fun Box Set - £49.95 / NARS AW12 Eyeshadows - £24.00 / Givenchy Play For Her 30ml Perfume - £32.99 / White Zinken Headphones - £50.00

This post is another from the Christmas series; again for teenage girls but this time with a bigger price range. These gifts are more expensive and they are of a 'bigger present'. They are for those people you are willing to spend more on and this is clear in the chosen presents.

What do you think of these presents; will you be spending more on anybody special this Christmas?

Christmas Series: #1 Teenage Girls Gift Ideas Under £20

Cath Kidston Mug - £5.00 / OPI New York Ballet Mini Collection - £12.95 / Soap and Glory Shower Trip Gift Set - £18.00 / Nail Rock Black Dot Nail Wraps - £6.65
I apologize for not posting in so long; I've had a bit of a blank mind and haven't been feeling very creative; but now I've got so many great ideas for my blog; so keep an eye out for those! As Christmas is just over 50 days away why not start shopping now! I thought a great idea would be to think presents within different price ranges for all age sections and genders.

I've picked out 4 different things I know I would be so happy to receive! Actually these will probably all be on my wish list this Christmas! You could give these presents to anybody: your sister, best- friend, cousin or just anybody I'm sure most teenage girls would love to receive this!

Are you looking forward to Christmas; or is the festivity a little too early for you?

The Detachable...

Parka: Zara / Boots: Office / Jeans: Topshop / Body: Republic / Earrings: Regal Rose

How edgy is that parka! Its so tough looking; perfect if you want to stick to this years highly popular trend of Military...! I think the acid wash jeans add to the rough look and the gold earrings add some much needed feminism!

What do you think of this look? Have you found your perfect winter coat yet - I haven't?

Benefit High Beam Dupe...!

Technic High Lights (flash on this individual picture)
Swatched

Finally; I've found it! Forget Me Me Me Beat the Blues this tops even that!
Technic is not a very recognized brand but to be honest I now have a couple of things from the brand and they're bad for a cheaper make-up brand! But this highlighter just stands above the rest! Although I don't own Benefit High Beam Victoria does and she really feels it is as good as High Bean; Victoria wrote a lovely little review about this product HERE so you should defiantly check that out!

Personally I think this is a fantastic highlight and for £2.75 with free p&p its an absolute bargain! You can get your own High Lights HERE

What do you think of High Lights? Have you got High Lights or would you rather pay for the real deal?

They're Mighty Fine..

1. Hubabuba Black Glitter Wedge - Miss Selfridge:
2. Lassie Leopard Stack Platforms - Topshop
3. Wah Wah Wedge Black - Office
4. Mary High Heel Black Suede Natural Heel - Jeffrey Campbell

How damn gorgeous are these heels! I seriously LOVE them so much! I've never really been as keen on colored high heels; I usually just stick to black. I also don't like stilettos as much as I like a chunkier heel or a wedge. Mary Janes have always been my favorite style of heel and then running closely behind would be Wedges. I just noticed all of these shoes have buckles; maybe its just buckled heels then; I don't know but recently I have had even more of a love affair with heels than normal! Oh well; I'm doing no harm!

What do you think of heels? Do you love thick heels like me or do you prefer stilettos?

Beauty Wishlist #1

1. Beauty Blender: I've been wanting a Beauty Blender for a while now and this month I'm defiantly going to order one! At £14.40 this small pink sponge is quiet highly priced so I will probably buy the Cosmopolitan one instead; more reasonably priced at around £5.00. As the weather gets colder my skin often gets really poor and sometimes I get spots so during the Winter I often wear foundation and too make my foundation blend in more and look more flawless I think the Beauty Blender would be perfect!

2. Sleek Oh So Special Palette: I don't really know what makes me want to try this palette but I have heard raving reviews about Sleek's eye-shadows and to me this is one of their nicest palettes; I love the colors!

3. Benefit The Porefessional: If I'm wearing a foundation I want a good base and most people say The Porefessional does just that; so I'm hoping to give it a go and see if it does hide my pores.

4. MAC Marilyn Monroe Powder Blush - The Perfect Cheek: MAC just released a Marilyn Monroe collection and normally I'm not bother by new collections but I absoloutly love the look of this one! Most of the eye-shadows look pretty average and I don't often get the chance to wear lipstick (plus I prefer glosses/balms) but this blush looks absolutely stunning; its the shade really - it looks so natural and feminine.

5. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm - Cherish: Everybody's talking about these at the moment and personally Cherish is my favorite color; so I'm going to give it a go and see what I think of them and maybe buy more.

6. Topshop Highlighter - Crescent Moon: I'm loving highlighters right now and I thought this would be a great one to test and wear!

- Apologies for all makeup related items this month; I haven't seen anything else that really interests me at the moment.

What are you wishing you had this month?

Military Grunge

This Autumn is all about Military & Grunge. Weather it be khaki combats or big chunky boots everybody is loving it! However we don't want to spend too much on one trend when it will be gone in a couple more months! So I've search all over the internet to find three perfect looks from three completely different shops! See which look you prefer...

Berry Good

How good are my titles getting! Cheesy but sweet. Anyway today's post is about Berry Lips. This Autumn they are bang on trend. They can look too vampy and some people end up looking like they're ready for Halloween too early but most people are getting this trend just right.

Lauren Conrad Celebrities attending the 8th annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, CA.
Source: Zimbio

Lauren Conrad looked stunning at this years Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party. The dark berry shade perfectly complimented her khaki shirt. She kept the rest of her makeup fairly neutral as the dark lips and cat liner made enough of a statement.

Source: Kiss and Makeup

Lana Del Rey stuck with her classic, clean cut look with added berry at this years Met Gala . She proved that even being pale with dark hair berry lips look amazing. Lana looks stunning with her waved dark hair and adding her chosen lipstick makes her looks very retro.

So what can lipsticks can I buy to nail this trend?
MAC: Hung-up

This shade from MAC is perfect for Autumn. At £14.00 this lipstick has a reasonable price-tag considering the brand. Hung-Up is described; by MAC as a 'Dark Berry' color.

L'Oreal Color Riche Made for Me Naturals Berry Blush
L'Oreal: Berry Blush

This lipstick is on the lower end of the price range at £8.19. This is part of the 'Made for Me' Makeup range by L'Oreal. Berry Blush has a red undertone so would most likely suite all skin tones and hair colors.

Tips and Tricks:

- Make sure you get the right berry tone for you. Ensure it suites your tone of skin and hair color.
- Dot and blend concealer around you lips to give them a sharper, more clean cut shape.
- If you struggle to make your lips look tidy apply the lipstick with a brush.
- If you like wearing lip-liner try it one shade darker than the lipstick; this gives a funky effect.
- If the lipstick thins your lips apply clear lip-gloss to the middle to make your pout look fuller.

Do you like berry lips? Have you tried this out of do you think its too vampy?

Heaven and Earth Review

M.U.A are well known for their unbelievably cheap makeup. The whole range starts from £1.00; this brand is pocket money priced! As part of one of my birthday presents I got given this palette as well as a few more from M.U.A; this however is my favorite - its more of an every day color range as everything tends to go with the colors in this neutral palette.

Top row.

The pigmentation of each and every color is remarkable. Just a mere swipe will create a vivid metallic shade on your brushes. Some shades are a lot higher than others however they all have amazing pigmentation unlike a couple of shades from the Immaculate palette also from M.U.A.

The most unusual color of the whole palette is first  the first on the right of the top row (pictured above). It is extremely bronze and although this type of color is so regally seen never one with such a coppery bronze tone to it!

Bottom row.

As you can see this palette is very neutral as are many popular eye-shadows today. The most well known in the Beauty World is Urban Decay's Naked palette. In this video Holly compares the Heaven and Earth Palette to the Naked Palette; and the colors in the £4 palette to the same standard and shade as the £36 palette!

What do you think of M.U.A? Do you like cheap and cheerful or do you prefer to pay for qaulity?

Gold Reflects

All from Topshop

For me Topshop have really hit the mark and above this autumn. Everything is up to date and I'm especially in love with their shoes this year. They've really gone to town! I've made a couple or great buys in there and am now hoping to spend a lot more! I put together this outfit after looking around the website for hours upon end!

I started off with a statement jacket and for £60.00 this one is perfect! Everything else was kept simple with either black or gold and accessories were kept minimal. Normally I would have put no jewelry to this outfit however as a bralet is being worn which rests low on the body and something is needed to break this up . It is cold outside and this outfit seems very revealing however the skater skirt is high waisted and therefore there will be no reveal of flesh between the skirt and the bralet; if it gets extra chilly just add a pair of tights. The belt in-between the skirt and top breaks things up a little more and adds to the golden bling!

This outfit isn't very casual however each item individually could be worn out and about during 'everyday' life.

What do you think of Topshop this season? Are they all that glitters or just a bit of a let down?

No, I don't even shop in MAC.
- What makeup tools do you use in make-up application?

I use Urban Decay Primer Potion; which I absolutely love; you can defiantly tell the difference and see it.
- What is your favorite eye-shadow color/shade?
I'm trying to master black eye-shadow mixed with a dark berry sort of color, I love those colors together.

Not currently but I have had it in the past.
- What is your favorite lipstick?

Currently; I haven't but there is quiet a few things on my list which I am looking to buy from there.
- Do you like Drugstore Makeup?

- Do you go to Cosmetic Company Outlets?
No.
- Did you ever consider taking Make-up classes?
Yes, I hope to sometime in the near future. I want to be a professional Make-up artist when I am older.

Yes I can be very clumsy depending on how I feel and how well I am concentrating.
- Makeup crime that you hate?
When people with beautifully clear skin cake themselves in foundation: make-up is there to enhance your natural beauty not completely change it.
- Do you like colorful shades of make-up?
I'd be a bit of a hypercrite if I said no; I own so much of it - it looks amazing on the right person!
- Which celebrity always has great make-up?
This is a hard question; I can't say just one but to narrow it down: Mila Kunis, Kim Kardashian and Jessie J. Mila & Kim are very classical but they always look extra special and Jessie J because I love the twist her make-up adds to her looks.
- If you could leave the house with just one makeup item what would it be?
Probably mascara; it always makes me feel 10 times more confident and it makes my eyes pop!
- Do you think you look good with out any make-up on?
I feel I look good with or without but make-up gives me a lot more of a boost.
- What is the best make-up line?
At the moment for me Collection is all I really need. It has great eye product I especially love their eyeliners, mascaras and eyelashes plus all of their products are fair - outstanding quality for money!
- What do you think of make-up?
I love make-up in so many ways. It transforms people in more ways than none. People can look better by wearing it but most importantly they feel better by wearing it. People feel more confident and happier by only adding a small factor to their lives! Make-up enhances natural beauty and that is why I love it so much.
